Joining The Family Class

At the conclusion of step one those seeking membership will be given the date of the next Joining The Family Class.  Participating in the classes will provide information about the meaning of Christianity, who we are as Presbyterians, and how to become an active part of Westminster. 

Westminster Presbyterian Church is a large congregation and we take seriously the matter of assimilating our new members into the life in activities of our church.  One of the most effective ways we have found to do this is through the experience of the Joining The Family Class, giving new members the opportunity to discover who we are and how God is at work through us here at Westminster.  Although the Joining The Family Class is not a prerequisite for church membership, it is highly recommended, especially for those from a non-Presbyterian or non-church background. 

Joining The Family Classes are conducted at least quarterly, with additional classes as needed.  They meet on one Thursday evening and half a day on a Saturday, or from 4 to 5 consecutive Wednesday evenings from 645 to 7:45 PM at Westminster.  Regular visitors will be notified by mail of upcoming classes.  Information is also printed in the worship bulletin several weeks in advance.
