The mission of Stephen Ministry is to equip God's people to grow spiritually as they use their gifts for Christ-centered, practical ministry in today's world.

Stephen Ministry is a ministry in our congregation in which trained and supervised lay persons called Stephen Ministers provide one-to-one Christian care to individuals facing life challenges or difficulties. This multiplies the mount of care Westminster can provide by giving us a whole team of skilled caregivers who are equipped to bring Christ's healing love to people who are grieving, in crisis or experiencing other stresses in life.

In John 15:12 Jesus says "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you". Loving and caring for one another is not just the pastor's job--it's something that Jesus calls us all to do. We believe that every Christian is gifted and called to be a minsiter--a servant of Jesus Christ--and can be equipped to extraordinary ministry. We are committed to mobilizing God's people to use their gifts in meaningful ministry, to build up the body of Christ and to embody God's love in the world.
