Through the Outreach Foundation WPC sponsors missionaries and mission projects throughout the world.  In 2009, we supported missionaries in South Sudan and Turkey, as well as City Evangelization in Kigali, Rwanda.

Del and Debbie Braaksma work in southern Sudan with the Resource Centre for Civil Leadership (RECONCILE), an indigenous Sudanese Christian peace-building ecumenical institute established by the New Sudan Council of Churches in 2003.  RECONCILE promotes civic education and trauma healing, mitigates conflicts between communities, and conducts training for church/community leaders throughout the country.  Del and Debbie have been in South Sudan since 2005.

Pamela Schubert has served in Antalya, Turkey since 2003.  She works with the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students student ministry, conducting outreach and discipleship and encouraging participation in a local church fellowship.  Pam is especially involved with women’s ministries.  

Presbyterians have been serving God in Rwanda for over 100 years.  After the 1994 genocide, the church helped to bring healing to many communities around the capital city, Kigali, and other cities in Rwanda.  Worship services and other Christian activities are now in a building that used to be a night club.  Funds are needed for church property expansion and a facility with space for worship, classes, adult literacy counseling, a daycare and a nursery school.
