1977-1979

•  Oct 2, 1977-First worship service (107 folks) held at Britt Elementary with Rev. Fred Moore as organizaing pastor.
•  Oct 23, 1977-First meeting of Church School Classes (Sunday School).
•  Jan 1, 1978-First communion service.
•  Jan 29, 1978-First elders (6) elected: Bill Avent, Bob Biship, Charles Hardy, Elva Hopkins, Jerry Malcom, Bill Walkemeyer.
•  Feb 19, 1978-The name 'Westminster Presbyterian Church' is chosen.
•  Mar 12, 1978-Westminster Presbyterian Church is officially chartered with 146 communicant members & 43 non-communicant members.
•  Jul 9, 1978-Rev. Fred Moore is installed as first Pastor at Westminster.
•  Jun 18, 1978-First deacons (6) installed: Ladson Kesler, Cathy Thrasher, Bert Hopkins, Ed Scott, David Crawley, Tom Harkins.
•  Dec 31, 1978-Membership 176; Pledges $36,165.
•  Jul 8, 1979-Groundbreaking for first church building.
•  Dec 31, 1979-Membership 221; baptisms 9.

1980-1988

•  Jan 1980-Session grows to 12 elders: Deacons grow to 12.
•  Apr 13, 1980-First worship service is held in new building (now the Youth Center).
•  Nov 1980-Budget: $115,700.
•  Dec 31, 1980-Membership: 379 (gain of 158 in 1 year). 12 baptisms.
•  Jan-Aug 1981-Interim Pastor, Dr. Jasper Keith. Summer Intern, Christ Noto.
•  Nov 1, 1981-Dr. Jim St. John installed as Pastor. Budget was $132,100.
•  Dec 31, 1981-Membership: 429. Baptisms, 12.
•  Apr 1982-Plans approved for a $250,000 new educational wing.
•  June 1982-There were 11 HS graduates: Summer Intern was Mary Amos.
•  Dec 31, 1982-Membership: 530. Baptisms, 13
•  Jan 1983-An 8:45 a.m. Worship Service is added.
•  May 1983-Dedication of new Education Annex.
•  Dec 31, 1983-Membership: 619. Baptisms: 24.
•  Apr 1984-A new classroom wing is built and dedicated.
•  Dec 31, 1984-Membership: 694. Baptisms: 28.
•  May 1985-WPC votes to have unicameral system (elders, but no deacons)
•  Jul 1985-WPC calls Gray Norsworthy as first Associate Pastor. CTS student, Ed Forsyth, becomes part-time DCE.
•  Dec 31, 1985-Membership: 800. Baptisms: 15. Budget: $239,220.
•  Dec 31, 1986-Membership: 871. Baptisms: 15. Proposed budget: $315,856.
•  1988-2001-Suzanne Matthews serves as full-time Director of Christian Education.
•  1989-Present-Nancy Narrie serves as full-time Office Manager.

1990-Present

•  1989-1990-New sanctuary is built & dedicated.
•  1989-1991-Dr. David McKee serves as Interim Pastor
•  1991-1999-Dr. Bob Strachan serves as Pastor.
•  1992-present-Before & After School Program initiated with Heather Ferry as director until 2003. Ann Lofstead is the current director.
•  1993-present-Relay for Life organized in Gwinnett with Phylecia Wilson's help.
•  1993-1998-Rev. Tom Pipkin serves as Associate Pastor.
•  1994-present-Rev. Scott Huie serves as Associate Pastor for Youth.
•  1995-present-Fellowship of Deacons is re-established (return to bicameral system).
•  1997-present-Honduras Mission trips (10).
•  1997-1999-Habitat for Humanity houses are built (2).
•  1998-Opening New Doors: Followship Center & Nursery/Pre-School are dedicated.
•  1998-present-Gary Wright hired as Worship Leader and LifeLine Contemporary Worship Service begins in Fellowship Center.
•  1998-Jun 2003-Rev. Fritz Bogar serves as Interim Associate Pastor.
•  1999-present-Calvin Cove Older Adult Daycare under direction of Anne Elliott until May 2003 and Barbara Versyl from May 2003 to present.
•  1999-present-Pre-School Program begins under direction of Marianne DeBroka until May 2003 and Pepper Christie from May 2003 to present.
•  1999-Present-Rev. Lisa Graves serves as Associate for Nurture (Parish Nurse '99-'02)
•  1999-2001-Rev. Roy Sharpe serves as Interim Pastor
•  2001-January 2004-Dr. Michael Foley serves as Pastor.
•  June-August 2003 Tim Bostick serves as Summer Intern.

•  Membership grew from 46 familes (146 communicant members & 43 children) in 1978 to 489 families (993 communicant members & 366 children) in 2003.
•  Staff grew from 1 (Fred Moore, the Pastor) in 1978 to 35 staff members in 2003.
•  Pledges grew from $37,281 in 1978 to $799,800 in 2004.
