She and her husband and two children moved to Snellville in 1986, where she became organist and continued teaching school in Decatur for 20 years. She remained organist in Decatur for 10 years and then found her way to Westminster, which was much closer to their home. Her son and daughter and their spouses live in the Marietta area; no grandkids. Since retirement from teaching, Lovenia has enjoyed being a world-traveler with many trips abroad and several amazing cruises. She always seems to find her way back to WPC with a host of stories of her adventures to share.
Suzanne works closely with outside contractors, vendors and community members along with the ruling Elders, Deacons, ministry leaders, church staff and members of Westminster to meet their specific needs. Suzanne schedules, updates and monitors the church’s master calendar to ensure events, meetings and gatherings on the WPC campus, including outside community-related groups, have an environmentally safe and comfortable space; she keeps us cool, she keeps us warm.
Suzanne is a Georgia State University graduate; BA in Communications/Public Relations with a minor in Journalism and an AS in Criminal Justice. Over 16 years in the newspaper publishing industry has been of great value in ensuring the church’s message to members and the community is delivered in an accurate, concise manner, often just like in the newspaper business, at the “very last minute.” Suzanne is a native of Snellville and graduate of South Gwinnett High School, with deep roots in Snellville and Gwinnett County.
Raymond Reynolds is originally from Sparta, GA and moved back to Georgia in 2014 after spending over 20 years in Houston, TX operating a small accounting and financial services business. I am so thankful to have been welcomed with open arms by the WPC community as Director of Calvin Cove, Westminster’s respite ministry for the fragile elderly.
Calvin Cove currently serves 10-20 seniors on any given day. This means that their families have a bit of break from their daily responsibilities of caring for a very dependent, fragile senior. They can use this time to work, get important chores done, or take a little bit of time to recharge their batteries so they can continue to give the best possible daily care to their loved one. Calvin Cove and Westminster Presbyterian are known throughout the area for this fantastic program.
Please help us to continue offering this valuable ministry. If you have not already done so, please consider joining the ranks of our wonderful volunteers who truly make this program work. If you are not sure if you would be interested in volunteering, we invite you to visit us and give us the opportunity to show you why this volunteer opportunity will fill your heart.
As Director of Westminster Children’s Weekday Ministries, Kwai has a passion for Jesus Christ and a heart for educating young learners. She has been involved with early childhood since she was in college working as a camp counselor for the YMCA during summers and as an after school teacher during the school year. Upon graduating Kwai began teaching in the public school setting and this opportunity opened her eyes to the pure joy of a child learning something for the first time. Kwai is married to her best friend, Sharvine, and they have two children and a cute boxer puppy. When not working at the preschool she loves cooking, worshiping and of course football!!!
Stephanie joined the staff of Westminster Children’s Weekday Ministries as Assistant Director in June of 2016. She began her early childhood education career 20 years ago. “I have always had a love for children and I knew the day that I walked into the first preschool, that early childhood was my calling. I love watching the children grow from being a 6 week old infant to being a preschooler. It makes me proud to know that I was a little part of who they have become.”
Stephanie is married to her high school sweetheart, Tim. Recently celebrating their 23rd anniversary, they have two grown sons, Timmy and Chase. The oldest, Timmy, is about to move to Illinois and youngest son, Chase, is a United States Marine. currently stationed in North Carolina.
Along with a love of camping; just being outside enjoying nature, Stephanie’s now enjoying a new hobby, redecorating their home to fit their empty nest lifestyle.
